Since 1963 the city of Florissant has celebrated The Valley of Flowers Festivals in the month of May, which is usually the first weekend in May, and consist of a variety of activities that the whole family can enjoy. This year like every year The Valley of Flowers will be Thursday May 2,2024 through Sunday May 5, 2024. The start of the festivals will be on Duchesne Grounds on Thursday for Family Bargain Night from 4pm to 9pm, tickets will be sold until 8pm at the gate.

The Valley of Flowers Carnival will be held the entire weekend.On April 30th while riding in the car down Washington street I manage to get a small video clip of the crew and trucks assembly the carnival. The carnival gates will open at 4pm and will close at 8pm so make sure you arrive on time. The carnival will end at 9pm every night, because of other tragedies that have happen within the city of St Louis. The Florissant Police Department has express that there will be heavy police present at the carnival every night, and list a few do's and don'ts like
NO FIREARMS OR WEAPONS allowed on the premises.
NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18 will be permitted on the Knights of Columbus grounds without a parent, legal guardian, or adult companion. Unaccompanied minors will not be admitted.
No bikes, skateboards, or scooters are allowed within the event area.
Outside food, drink, or coolers are not permitted.
Only service animals are allowed; please leave pets at home.

Some of the other festivities for this weekend includes some fan favorites like the Mayors pick ball game which is free to everyone and will be held on this Saturday at the James Egan Center from 9am to 2pm, The Motorcycle and Car Show which will also be on Saturday from 8am to 3pm on St. Francois St, the crowning of the 2024 Valley of Flowers Queen, pony rides and petting zoo, food vendors, craft vendors, and on Sunday the Grand Parade will happen.
